Finally, after all the years of hard work, she floats! We had a fantastic sail across from Bangor to Conwy as our first short trip, only marred by some evil slamming waves (wind against tide) on the entrance to Conwy river. Drenched, we end up motoring around the river looking for our mooring but can’t locate it in the dusk. So we decide to take a birth in Conwy Marina for the night and put her on her mooring the next day. Of course, it was easy to find in daylight!
All in all, Saturday 3rd May 2008 was one of the most rewarding days I’ve ever had on the water. It was the first launch for my first boat, and it couldn’t have gone better.
